Chinese automaker Chery has announced a remarkable 38.4% increase in global vehicle sales for 2024, reaching 2.6 million units, and anticipates exceeding 3 million sales this year. It retained its position as China’s leading car exporter in 2024, exporting 1.14 million vehicles to international markets, with growth primarily fueled by its expansion into Europe.
The Omoda and Jaecoo models are now available in 27 countries, following their launches in the UK, Spain, and Italy in 2024, with plans for further expansion in Europe. The company aims for a sales target of 2.5 million units in 2025. Additionally, Chery will begin manufacturing vehicles with a joint venture partner in Spain this year, although the timeline was postponed due to discussions regarding EU tariffs and government regulations.
Despite ongoing challenges such as supply chain issues, logistics, market research, marketing strategies, and EU regulations, what’s Chery's successful experiences and valuable insights for all European EV manufacturers and positively influence the industry?
| We are very honored to announce that Jochen Tüting, Managing Director, Chery Europe GmbH has confirmed to join the European EV Industry Chain Conference 2025 (EuEVIC) as Keynote Speaker, he will make the keynote speech on “How to Successfully Deliver Chinese EVs to European Customers”. |
