Benjamin Schiebler is responsible for the Electromobility department at the Swedish truck manufacturer Volvo Trucks.
Together with colleagues in this department, he is responsible for the transfer of expertise for all topics related to electromobility within Volvo Trucks' German sales network. This includes, in particular, the product portfolio, charging infrastructure, financial support options, service offerings, workshop certifications and processes, as well as the overarching question of which alternative drive systems in the commercial vehicle sector make sense under which conditions – and which do not.
Mr. Schiebler has been working for Volvo Trucks since 2010 and in the Electromobility department since 2020. Prior to that, he worked in the telematics, remote vehicle diagnostics, maintenance planning, and spare parts departments.

Currently leading the Autonomous Drive & ADAS Strategy department in one of the most innovative automotive companies in Sweden. Our mission is to deliver the Mobility solutions of the future. Due to the nature of the work, most of the time, we need to navigate uncharted territory working out ideas, innovations, and using strategical thinking to secure we are market leaders.
In the past I have worked for Tier1 suppliers, for big OEMs and also leading the engineering department of a small startup developing our own innovations. My background is Computer Engineering, specialized in Robotics and SW processes like ASPICE and ISO26262.

Marco Dargel
Marco Dargel is a Managing Partner at P3, responsible for P3's Autonomous Mobility Division. After completing his studies in mechanical engineering and innovation management in Esslingen and Singapore, he began his professional career in strategic product planning in the supplier industry.

Martin Hofstetter
Martin Hofstetter studied Mechatronics and completed his PhD in the field of electric powertrains in cooperation with MAGNA Powertrain. At the Institute of Automotive Engineering, Graz University of Technology, he developed an industry-approved AI-based design method for electric powertrains called OPED. The method optimizes for cost, performance, efficiency, package and sustainability, while also strongly reducing development time. Currently, he is Head of E-Mobility and Alternative Drivetrains Research Group, focusing on application-oriented research in cooperation with industry partners. Beyond the AI-based design of electrified powertrains, he also consults the transportation industry to reach ambitious decarbonization targets in the most cost-effective way. His work is awarded by both industry and research institutions, including MAGNA, AVL and the German Association of Engineers (VDI). In the scientific community, he serves as reviewer for journals and conferences published by e.g., Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, IEEE, FISITA and SAE.
Maynie Yang
Maynie Yang is an Electric Vehicles Analyst on the Commercial Transport team at BloombergNEF (BNEF), a leading provider of primary research on commodities and the low-carbon transition. Her current work focuses on decarbonizing vans, trucks, and buses. She launches reports encompassing commercial fleet electrification, batteries, charging strategies, self-driving trucks, and zero-emission transport policies, to name a few. Andre Gronke
André Gronke leads the European engineering team at Farasis Energy, a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance lithium-ion battery technology. With 15 years of experience in battery development and four years at Farasis Energy Europe, he specializes in innovation, new technologies, and fostering a culture of ownership and empowerment within his teams.
Gronke has managed battery development projects from concept to mass production, covering cell development, simulation, module and pack design, product safety, and system engineering. I am Sabine Stange, based in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Currently, I am the Head of Supply Chain & Waste Management for Battery Recycling at BASF SE, focusing on SCM solutions, planning, and waste management. Since joining BASF SE in 2017, I have also served as a Project Manager and Supply Chain Consultant, contributing to supply chain strategy and innovation. Before BASF, I worked at Metro AG in Dusseldorf as a Business Process Coordinator and International Supply Chain Developing Specialist, managing global supply chain projects and process optimization. Simon Voß is an expert on e-mobility and battery innovation and currently serves as the managing director of the Office for E-Mobility and eLab of RWTH Aachen University. Simon is striving on supporting the acceleration of e-mobility-development by providing a high-tech infrastructure and innovation network for R&D on the electric drivetrain. Nicolò is the director and co-founder of Battery Insights, a McKinsey solution (subsidiary) dedicated to support clients and develop insights for the battery industry.

Linda Arnold-Triangeli
Linda Arnold-Triangeli is a consultant at VDI/VDE-IT and part of the accompanying research team for Battery Cell Production. On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), she supports the development of a resilient and sustainable battery ecosystem in Germany and Europe through knowledge transfer, stakeholder dialogue and strategic networking across industry, research, and education.
She leads the cross-cutting topic of skills and qualification and manages six Vocational Education and Training (VET) alliances funded by BMWK. These projects aim to design and deliver VET courses along the battery value chain that meet the skills needs of the dynamic and growing battery sector.

He has carried out research activities at the Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity (LMP) of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is the coordinator of the Horizon Europe BATTwin, for the development of a zero-defect manufacturing approach based on digital twins for the battery manufacturing process-chain, and the I3 project BatMass, for the development of a circular value-chain for EV batteries. He was coordinating the 2020 Lombardy Region Circular Economy Roadmap. He is the coordinator of the Pilot Network on “De- and Remanufacturing” for the “ESM – Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing” Pilot within the Vanguard Initiative. He is the coordinator of the Regional industrial working group on “De-and remanufacturing for Circular Economy”, within AFIL, the Lombardy Region Cluster on Intelligent Factories.
He is the coordinator of the EU H2020 large-scale demonstration projects FiberEUse, the I3 project DeremCO, and the Horizon Europe projects YourBan and ReBoat, targeting composite recovery and re-use, the EU H2020 project DigiPrime, for the development of a digital platform for circular economy in cross-sectorial sustainable value networks. Pedro Gomes is POLIS Network Clean Vehicles & Air Quality Cluster Lead. Having joined POLIS in March 2022, he leads POLIS’ Clean Vehicles & Air Quality Working Group and is responsible for several key legislative topics, including the Fit for 55 package (AFIR, EPDB, and CO2 standards for cars and vans, among others), the Clean Vehicles Directive, CO2 standards for trucks and buses, Euro 7 type-approval regulation, and the revision of the Ambient Air Quality Directive. He is POLIS’ point of reference for the European Commission Sustainable Transport Forum, supporting the Commission's efforts on AFIR implementation, and is involved in several EU-funded projects in the area of sustainable transport, including EAFO, SCALE, NextETRUCK, GIANTS, and LENS. Before joining POLIS, he worked as a researcher in the Air Quality Group of the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Research (CENSE) at NOVA University, and later at the Local Energy Management Agency of Almada (AGENEAL) in the fields of energy efficiency, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigation, and sustainable mobility.
